connect 2002 20 inch display to 2012 macbook pro

How do I connect my 20 inch apple cinema display circa 2002-3 to my 2012 model 13.3" MacBook Pro?

You need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (it plugs into a Thunderbolt port on the Mac)

If the display uses ADC (Apple Display Connector)

Yes, your display has ADC. You will need both adapters. It may be cheaper to get a different display.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I am not sure if the ADC you mention is the same as my Cinema Display's connector.

Here is an image:

The full width is 2" wide while the enclosure for the pins is 1 3/16" wide. If this is the same as the image you provided, do I then need both the Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter AND a DVI to DVI adapter?
